Does your thesis, memo, or policy analysis paper provide a creative solution to a current problem? Is your MPR recommendation compelling? Perhaps you’ve written a great analysis in an elective or core class? Mills College graduate and undergraduate students, alumnae/i, faculty, and administrators are encouraged to submit their public policy related work. All projects are welcome for review, but submitted work should meet the following criteria to qualify for publishing.

- Mills College graduate and undergraduate students
- Mills College alumnae/i
- Mills College faculty, staff, and administration members
What to submit:
- Policy analysis reports, briefs, or articles
- Cross-disciplinary, policy-related research
- Opinion Editorials
- Book or Literature Reviews
- Interviews
- Legislative Bill Analyses
- Spatial Data, Mapping, and Infographics Projects
- Multimedia Projects (including radio reports, short documentary films, podcast episodes)
Guidelines:
Reports, Briefs, and Articles
Articles sourced from graded briefs, research papers, senior theses or a graduate Master’s Policy Report will be considered for publication. Articles based on other work may also be considered. Abstracts and executive summaries from MPRs and theses customized for publishing in article form are also acceptable.
Length: 2000 words or less
Citation style: APA format with all appropriate sources cited

Opinion Editorials
Opinion editorials introduce, expand upon, analyze, rebut, or otherwise discuss current public policy problems, issues, events, or controversies will be considered for publication.

Interviews, Book or Literature Reviews, and Legislative Bill Analyses
Public policy related book and literature reviews, policy area practitioner interviews, and articles containing personal stories or reports that focus on the impact of implementation or effects of specific policies or proposed policies will be considered for publication in the Policy Forum.

Spatial Data and Mapping Projects
Spatial data and mapping projects will be considered for publication in the Policy Forum. If you have a GIS (or GIS-based, open-source, etc.) project that is aesthetically pleasing and based on compelling data or evidence, please submit your work!
Infographics projects that are aesthetically pleasing and based on compelling data or evidence will also be considered for publication . Refer to the RAND Corp Infographics page for examples of public policy infographics.

Format: JPG, PNG, or other files that can be opened in a web browser (without special software) are preferred
Multimedia Projects
Students may submit public policy related radio reports completed in the Mills College Public Radio Broadcasting classes, short documentary films, and student produced podcasts that cover, investigate, or analyzing a current public problem or policy issue.
Length: Should not exceed 12 minutes in length.

Format: Please send files that can be opened without special software. You may also send a link to uploaded video or audio content (e.g.,YouTube or Vimeo), and any passwords to access content if necessary.
